Eyebrow Waxing

Unless you have very sensitive skin, waxing is a quick and relatively easy alternative to plucking your eyebrows. Although it is generally best to get eyebrows waxed professionally it can be expensive - up to around $15 as a general rule, although salons do differ. If you have a tighter budget, or if you are feeling fairly brave, here are some simple steps for you to try at home...

1) Preparing the Eyebrow

Brush the eyebrow into place with a baby toothbrush or clean mascara wand, so that their natural shape is neatly defined. Next, apply an astringent such as witch hazel to anesthetize the sensitive skin under the brow. Work out your natural brow shape by standing several feet away from a mirror, and following these simple steps

Working out the length of the eyebrow

Hold a ruler parallel to your nose, and level with the inner corner of the eye, to work out where the brow should begin. If your eyes are close together, make the gap between the brows wider. If your eyes are far apart, dont wax the start line of the brow too much so that they are closer together. Mark the correct point with a dot.

Working out the curve of the eyebrow

You can work out where the highest point of the curve/ arch should be by holding a ruler from the edge of the nostril past the outer edge of the iris (the colored part of the eye) and up to the eyebrow. Mark the spot with a dot.

Final planning

Now link up the dots in a gentle arch to draw on the ideal shape of the eyebrow that you want to achieve. This will give you a guideline to go by when applying the wax. You should aim for a smooth arched brow that tapers slightly at the outer ends.

2) Applying the Wax

Buy a professional waxing kit - basically a jar or tub of wax which can be warmed up in boiling water and applied with a small applicator or spatula, and (usually muslin) removal strips. Each product varies slightly, so be sure to read the manufacturers directions carefully.

Warm up the wax to optimum temperature and use the small spatula to apply a thin layer of wax to the growth. Make sure that you only use a small amount of wax on the spatula to avoid the wax dripping when it is applied. Apply wax with the hair growth under the eyebrow, (i.e. in the same direction that the hair grows in). You dont need to use much, and you should not let the wax dry.

This is the painful bit! Ouch!!

Never wax above the eyebrow, only ever shape from below. Waxing from under the brow will widen your eyes and help to get the line even. This will make you look younger and much more glamorous if done correctly! As soon as it is applied remove the wax against the hair growth, (i.e. in the opposite direction that the hair grows in). This is done by gently smoothing a piece of cotton muslin over the waxed area, pulling the skin taut with one hand, and pulling the muslin off with the other.

It is a good idea to take a little hair off at a time, especially if you have fairly this growth. You will be surprised how much difference a little hair removal will make to your appearance.

4) The Aftermath

Any straggly hairs left over after waxing can be easily plucked out using a set of good tweezers. Apply a soothing balm like tea tree oil onto the area afterwards. You should avoid direct sunlight, acid based facial treatments, and liquid makeup for several hours.

To give the gorgeous new eyebrow shape emphasis, use an eyebrow pencil or tinted brow shadow to subtly fill in any gaps, and even out the natural color tone. Dont worry if you make mistakes, even if you have bald patches or empty spaces. Practice makes perfect, and anyway, the hair will have grown back before you know it!!

Tweeze Your Brows

Thin Tip: Good for grasping small, fine hairs, and plucking ingrown hair.

Slanted Tip: Gives maximum control.

Square Tip: Best used for removing coarse hairs or several hairs at a time.

1. Tweeze immediately after showering or apply a hot washcloth to loosen hair follicles.

2.Hold a pencil vertically along the side of the nose. Eyebrow should start at outside edge if pencil - Anastasia Soare eyebrow queen.

Hint: Leaving a bit more space will widen close-set eyes.

3.Hold pencil to outside of eye. This is where the eyebrow of a bombshell should end.

4.Smooth brows with a little moisturizer to help hairs slide out - turn back the clock.

5.Brush brows up to find a natural arch.

6. Draw in the desired shape beforehand with a soft eye shadow pencil - Keira Knightley smokey eyes.

Hint: Don't use an eyeliner pencil. It will cause you to pluck too much.

7.Tweeze under the brow first, plucking in the direction of the growth.

Hint: If your plucking becomes too painful, apply a little anbesol (yes, that pain reliever for teeth also numbs the brows)

8.Using an eyelash comb, comb brows upwards and trim any hairs that extend beyond the natural top or brow bone. Glamorous lashes.

9.After tweezing, soothe the area with cool, wet tea bags.

Beauty Tips For Eyebrows

Your eyebrows add strength and definition to your face. Well groomed eyebrows enhance your beauty

You should pluck eyebrows before bedtime so any redness will disappear overnight. In shaping your eyebrows use your facial features.

Use a pair of slant edge tweezers which grip hairs easily. Comb hairs one way and then the other to remove loose hairs.

You should pluck hairs between the brows and any stragglers. Never remove the hairs from above your eyebrows.

Pluck each hair individually close to the root. Work in the direction of the growth.

Always avoid over plucking. In defining your eyebrows choose a shade similar to your natural hair colour.

When using a pencil you should apply in small, feathered strokes. Starting at the inner corner work outwards.

Blend the colour with a brush. To tame stray hairs just use hair gel and comb through to neaten.

Filling In Your Eyebrows

The trick to full brows is to come clean, then fill in the blanks. Waxing director Eliza Petrescu of Avon Salon & Spa explains it for us:

* Choose a pencil and powder in the correct shade. Women with fair complexions should use a blonde shade, those with olive tones should go tawny or brown, and those with with African-American skin should use gray.

* Brush brows downward with a dry, mascara-like wand. To define the arch, use the pencil to draw a line along the upper edge of the brow. Comb the brows upward and outward.

* For added fullness, dust eye shadow into the hairs of the brow with a stiff, slanted brush. Dip the brush into a tiny amount of powder and use short, gentle strokes while applying.

* If brows have been severely overtweezed, brush the hairs in the direction of the growth, and fill in any visible patches with powder. Avoid adding to the top or bottom of the brows.

* Comb a clear brow gel up through the brows to set hairs in place. Also see: Easy makeover

Control Your Brows

Snipping instead of tweezing the brows might be all that is needed to control your brows. Here is how it is done.

• Brush brows straight up and then check for hairs that are too long.

• Snip any offending hair one at a time with a small pair of scissors.

• Brush brows downward and check again.

• Repeat the previous step, snipping any hair that seems to be too long.

• Brush brows into place and check for any hairs that still might need attention.

• Continue brushing and snipping until your brows can be brushed into place naturally.

NOTE: Maintaining your brows is something that should be done on a weekly basis instead of all in one day. Mistakes can be made that sometimes cannot be fixed.

Also, instead of pencil, use eye shadow to color your brows for a more natural look

Perfect Eyebrows

Six Steps To Perfect Eyebrows

1. Brush brows upward. Carefully trim any excess hair above the top of your natural arch. Be careful not to take off too much at the ends or you'll have brow "bald" spots.

2. Look closely at the shape. Your brow should begin at your tear duct, peak at the outer edge of your iris and end at the outer corner of your eye. "Many women make the mistake of taking off too much at the outer corners," says Weston. "This slants the brows upward and makes the person look perpetually angry."

3. Prep your skin: Soak a cotton ball in astringent and wipe the brow area.

4. Hold a pencil in line with the outer side of your iris and note where the peak of your arch naturally occurs. From the arch to the outer corner of the eye, your brow should fall in a straight or slightly curved line, depending on the look you're trying to achieve.

5. Hold the tweezers at a 45 degree angle and pluck the stray hairs below the brow line. "Pull in the direction of the hair growth, or you may end up breaking the hair mid-shaft," says Engle. Follow your natural brow shape, not the trends. "It's very difficult to let your brows grow back into their natural shape after you've plucked them to death trying to achieve a particular look," she says.

6. Fill in sparse areas with a freshly sharpened brow pencil - be a bombshell; use light, quick strokes to draw in hair. Brow powder will give thin brows overall definition, and is great for a more natural look. Using the brow brush, sweep powder up and outward over brows. If you're a brow novice, a tinted brow gel is a foolproof way to keep brows in place. Lightly coat brows using upward and outward strokes. Wipe off any excess and allow it to set. Get Glowing!

Brow Color

Did you know that brows should be a little lighter than your hair color? Yes, it's true...about two shades.

However, if you are blond or gray, the opposite is true.

Brows To Die For

Eyebrow Shape

Did you know that your eyebrow is supposed to start directly above the inner corner of your eye?

The highest point should be just a little beyond the outer corner of the iris and should taper off to the end!

OK, so now you know...

Toothbrush Your Brows!

Keep them in place...

If you are having trouble taming your brows, here is a little trick:

Take a toothbrush and spray with a little hair spray and then brush on brows. The stickiness of the hair spray will help keep them in place.

Trimming Your Brows
A nice eyebrow contour

This is an alternative to tweezing. Brush them up so that the really long hairs will be very visible.

Instead of tweezing and creating a hole, snip it with a pair of tiny scissors. Works wonderfully :-)

HAIR CUTS

A woman?s hair is her crowning glory. It frames her face and completes her appearance. She can talk with her hair, and there are so many ways that a person can tell about her by simply looking at her hair. It is therefore very important for a woman to take care of her hair, to keep it clean, moisturized and trimmed, so that it would remain soft, shiny and neat.

Most women cut their hair to different styles in an attempt to enhance their looks. Some like their hair long and straight, while others like to wear their hair long and with abundant curls and ringlets. There are others who go for the minimum, no-fuss look and always have their hair cut short and simple, while others wish to strike a balance between femininity and practicality and keep their hair at mid-length. And there are still others who like experimenting on color and highlights, not just with the length and cut of their hair.

Unfortunately, not everyone can wear the same hairstyle and look good in it. Some hairstyles look great on some women, but sadly look like bombs on others. Many things can be taken into account as to why this is so, but mostly it is because the hairstyle does not flatter the face.

The way you do your hairdos must flatter your face and enhance your best features. After all, that is what the hair is supposed to do, aesthetically speaking ? to frame your face and to help bring out your best features. Whether a hairstyle will look good on you or not depends on the shape of your face.

There are many, many types of hairstyles out there, but not all will look good on you unless the hairstyle fits the shape of your face. Below are the different hairstyles that are considered most flattering for each shape of face.

An oval face. The oval face is the perfect face. Almost any hairstyle will go with it, whether it is long or short, straight or curly. If you have an oval face, you will do well with having layers near your chin or cheekbones to draw attention to them. However, try to avoid hairstyles that add volumes to the top of your head ? it will make your face look longer.

A long face. If you have a long or oblong face, you should create the illusion of width to balance it out. You can add width to your face by doing your hair with long, side-swept bangs or chin-length bobs. You will also do well with curls and waves that frame the face.

If you have a long or oblong face, you should avoid letting your hair grow extremely long or having your hair cut extremely short. Such extreme hairstyles will take the width from your face and emphasize its length.

A round face. If people with long faces need to add width to their faces, people with round faces need to take some of the width and bulk off by adding length. If your face is round you need to create the illusion of length, and to do this, you can have your hair cut just below your chin, or in graduated layers. Do not do your hair in short, one-length, blunt cuts, as it will only draw attention to the roundness of your face.

A square face. Having a square face means having an angular jaw. The hairstyle trick with having a square face is drawing attention away from that jaw. This is done by putting texture to your hair. Short curls do exactly this, as well as long layers that start just below the jawline. If your face has a square shape, you should try not to have your hair cut in one-length bobs or wear bangs that are cut bluntly. It will only emphasize the squareness of your face.

A heart-shaped face. Heart-shaped faces are pretty Valentines, but the pointed chin draws attention away from the eyes. If you have a heart-shaped face, you could bring focus to your eyes by wearing side-swept bangs, a fringe on your brow or long layers at the top. Or you could let your hair grow and have it done with layers that touch your cheekbones.

DANDRUFF

How To Shake Dandruff Flakes
If you have dandruff, do not worry about being alone with your problem. With one out of every two people in the entire world having, or having had, that same problem as yours, you are definitely not alone with it. Dandruff is a common hair problem. Embarrassing indeed, but a very, very common problem nonetheless.
What causes dandruff? Well, you see, our entire skin, from our scalps to the soles of our feet, sheds dead skin cells on a daily basis. We get a complete coating of new skin every 28 days or so, but we hardly even notice it.
Our bodies also play host to a lot of microorganisms like bacteria and fungi, feeding off on the sebaceous oils that our skin produces. Our scalp in particular is home to a kind of fungus called malassezia fungus, and its food is the oils produced by the hair follicles of our scalp. Dandruff happens when, for some reason or another, the malassezia fungus goes crazy and irritates our scalp, causing the dead skin to shed a lot faster. So, instead of shedding the dead skin cells of our scalp for a month, the shedding happens in less than two weeks, and the oil that our hair follicles produce cause these dead skin cells to clump together and become dandruff. Until now, the factors that trigger this phenomenon with the malassezia fungus are still the subject of research.
Dandruff is an embarrassing hair condition, and it can recur despite your best efforts. But with proper hair care, the recurrence of dandruff can be controlled. The best way to keep the flakes at bay is to shampoo your hair every day - picture perfect hair.
Dandruff can, of course, become stubborn, so if washing everyday with your regular shampoo does not stop the flakes from becoming haywire, the next best thing to do would be to start using anti-dandruff shampoos. Look for anti-dandruff shampoos with zinc pyrithione, selenium sulfide, salicylic acid or ketoconazole as the active ingredient. To keep your scalp from developing immunity to these shampoos, go ahead and rotate brands at least once a month.
For optimum results, you can lather your hair with the shampoo of your choice twice. The first wash will clear the scalp of the flakes and the oil buildup. The second one would let the chemicals in the shampoo get absorbed by the scalp - haute hair.
You can also try homemade remedies to wash the flakes away and to keep the dandruff from recurring. What is considered the best homemade remedy to dandruff is a vinegar wash. Mix two teaspoons of vinegar with six teaspoons of water and rub it against your scalp before you go to bed, then wrap your head with a towel. Apply the same solution to your hair once again in the morning when you wake up, then rinse it with water. You do not have to worry about the smell of vinegar in your hair, as the smell of vinegar does evaporate eventually.
Whatever you do, never, ever scratch the clumps with your fingernails. It will cause wounds on your scalp.
Dandruff is an embarrassing hair condition, but it is not unmanageable. Just take good care of your hair and the flakes will go away.

Anti -Aging Tips - How to avoid wrinkles

What causes wrinkles?
Wrinkles are caused by both genetic and environmental factors such as sunlight, make up, exposure to chemicals , cigarette smoke, and other pollutants.
How to avoid wrinkles?

Avoid the sun.

Take care of your skin daily with a routine that includes cleansing, moisturizing and daily sunscreen.

Avoid smoking.

Avoid alcohol.

Avoid caffeinated beverages which can dehydrate the skin.

Drink plenty of water.
At what age should you consider using an Anti-Wrinkle Cream?

For many of us that means start using then in your thirties. The skin's natural levels of collagen diminish with age and anti-wrinkle creams may offer a replacement.

How to avoid late night eating?

Does this sound like you? You inhale a light yogurt for lunch and eat hardly anything all day so by the end of the day you are so hungry that all your discipline goes out the window. You have a night eating habit and are someone who uses food not as fuel but as an antidote to stress. There are two troubling behaviors that come into play with night eating and those are mindless consumption and lack of portion control. This can make trying to lose weight extremely difficult and can also increase the likelihood of obesity.

Why do we eat at night?

Many women eat late at night because that is the only time of day that they get in any peace and carbohydrates offer stress relief because they raise the level of serotonin, the good mood chemical in the brain that makes us feel at ease.
Other diet minded women eat very little during the day thinking their self -discipline will carry them through the evening, only to have the strategy backfire. Going for long period restricting food makes it harder to eat reasonable when you begin to eat.

Tips to stop night eating?

Don't starve all day. Make sure to eat breakfast, lunch and snacks so you are not ravenous in the evening.

Curb your appetite- Try a drink that nutritionist call Citrus Chill which is a squeeze or lemon and lime and some artificial sweeter over crushed ice. Try on of these before dinner and after dinner.
Set a clear food cut off time - Try brushing your teeth at 7:30 pm and designate that as your food cut off time. This is hard at first but gets easier over time.

Beauty Care For The Working Women

A career woman is a very busy woman. She has not only to go to office and handle a lot of exacting chores but she has also to look after the household after her responsibilities at the desk are over. This leaves her with little time to look after herself and yet she needs to look neat and attractive in her place of work. What you require is to take one day off every week and reserve it for beautifying yourself. Make it Sunday when usually everyone has a holiday. This day should belong exclusively to you. Rest, relax and beautify yourself and see how the next day you will not only look more beautiful and attractive but be lighter and brighter both in body and spirit. This one day beauty.care is not only meant to beautify you but it is also health-giving and prolongs your youthfulness. On this day be as 'lazy' as possible, stay in bed as long as you like and stay off the telephone because talking takes as much energy as working.

Take a light diet on this day to give, your over worked digestive system a rest. Here is a sample of the Sunday diet.

Breakfast

•One glass orange juice

•Cornflakes with milk.

•Tea or coffee.

Mid-morning

•One cup skimmed milk with 1 biscuit. (You can substitute milk for tea or coffee.)

Lunch

•Steamed chicken or fish.

•One green or yellow vegetable.

•One salad of raw vegetables.

•Fruit of choice.

Mid-afternoon

•Tea, coffee, milk or soft drink with 1 biscuit.

Dinner

•Soup

•Mutton stew

•Bread

•Fruit.

Bedtime

•One cup skimmed milk with honey.

After taking your breakfast, rest for a while and then go in for your bath. Lock yourself in and get to work. Start with chores like 'defusing' your legs or arms, dealing with superfluous hair on the face, washing and setting your hair and doing your nails. All these chores need to be done regularly for a well-groomed look.

Now take your bath. Fill the bathtub with lukewarm water and put in a few drops of your favorite essence. Then, lie back in the tub and try to keep your mind blank think of absolutely nothing for 10 minutes or try to dwell upon happy things. Let your arms and legs float in the water, splash them around a little and let the ripples in the bath water float over you. Get out of the bath and pat yourself dry and give yourself a facial.

After all this, you should emerge from the bathroom, both refreshed and invigorated. Now have your lunch and go to bed. Do not talk, do not gossip, do not work, for this day is for you and for the next six days you will be for others-what a relaxed, beautiful and changed person you will be !

As regards the skin, clean your face both morning and night because, as you are out in the open for long periods, your skin takes on more dust and grime than the women who stay at home.

However tired you may be after a late night, do not hop into your bed without removing every trace of your makeup otherwise your pores will get clogged and your skin will become sick. Every night before going to bed give your skin a little nourishment by rubbing in a little cream of milk blended with lime juice and a pinch of turmeric powder. Use only a dusting of powder, a soft shade of lipstick and a touch of rouge for the office. And always carry your makeup kit with you to 'do' yourself up before leaving for your home.

Also pay greatest attention to your personal cleanliness so that you will not only feel fragrant but also fresh and lively the whole day through. So use a little bath essence, toilet water and dusting powder and also use deodorant regularly whether you think you need it or not.

Beauty After 40

Beauty After Forties

There are very few women who keep on looking beautiful even after crossing the age of forty; but these women have cultivated their beauty slowly and gradually through the years and they age gracefully and carry their years as lightly and gaily as Bowers in a buttonhole. In later years, a slim and trim figure adds as much to the look of youth as a youthful skin. To keep your skin slim. eat a fully balanced diet, because after you cross the age of 40 there is a marked decrease in the functional activity of the body. The process of digestion slows down, therefore the fats and the carbohydrate content of the diet should be reduced. Fried foods and dishes of carbohydrates should be avoided.
Overweight persons need to be all the more cautious of their calorie intake because they are more prone to old age diseases than their slimmer brethren and sisters. Therefore, take food rich in vitamins and minerals and avoid sugary, starchy and fried foods like plague. Eat plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables and drink at least two cups of milk daily.
With the onset of age the hair becomes grey, but do not pull these grey hair out. Every time you pull out a grey hair, you sow the seed for another few because the root at the base of the hair follicle secretes an infectious serum, which covers a tiny pinpoint of healthy hair surrounding the white hair and these in turn will go white within next to no time. If you feel you must get rid of your grey hair then cut it close to the root with scissors.
Keep your hair well brushed, well nourished, well groomed and styled at all times. This is the time when your skin needs an ample amount of grease to counteract the natural dryness of your skin. Every night apply homemade moisturizing cream to your face and in the morning before you take your bath, rub on your face and neck homemade cold Cream. Pay particular attention to the corners of your mouth, areas around the eyes and neck which are more prone to wrinkling than the other areas of the skin. Give yourself a facial twice a week with a mask for dry skin to whip up circulation.
Do not wear clothes and makeup used by the teenagers; wear clothes suitable for your age, which will give you dignity and good bearing. Wear light makeup and simple jewellery. Besides develop a lively interest in all things and have a sense of humour at all times which will give your face a nice tender look and not a frowning, cross look (which adds years to the face). Go for long brisk walks and do not look back more than you can help at your green years, for remember that every age has its own charm. Moreover, after 40 you have much more mature and dignified look than before. Therefore keep your shoulders back, hold your head high and above all keep the corners of your mouth up.

Clothing and Fashion for Older Women

season, the fashion and garment industry trot out hundreds of "must have" looks for the months ahead. Some of these looks are trendy, some are classic with updated twists, and some are truly timeless, but with few exceptions, they are all designed with young, thin models in mind. Because of this, most women, as they get older, find that they face a diminishing selection of choices in clothing styles.

Many make the wrong choices of how to deal with this situation. They want to look young, and think that wearing the latest fashion trends will help them achieve that youthful look. While keeping your wardrobe current is important in helping you to look young, some women fall into the trap of wearing clothing that is entirely to "young" for them. The British have an expression that I like: "Mutton dressed as lamb" which refers to someone older (usually a woman) dressed far too youthfully. The result, instead of making her appear more youthful, is that the woman emphasizes her age. Just imagine, say, Sharon Stone dressed the same as Brittany Spears or Jessica Simpson.
I had a friend in high school in the mid-80s whose mother was determined to look young. She bought acid-washed jeans and distressed t-shirt tops and wore her hair "big" with bold, blonde streaks. She and my friend, her daughter, dressed very much alike. I only wish now that I'd had the courage to tell her the truth when I had the chance.
The truth is in order to look young you do need to keep your wardrobe current. Fabrics, colors, patterns and shapes change from year to year and all serve to date the wardrobe and wearer alike. But keeping your wardrobe current doesn't mean you should go for the trendy or hip looks. Instead, you should look for classic styles and shapes that flatter your figure in the colors and fabrics that are up to date. As a woman ages, she must pay attention to these details. Remember, vintage clothing and retro styles are only for those young enough to have never worn them when they were new fashion.
That doesn't mean you can't still have fun with your fashion. Accessories like scarves and jewelry allow you to add a "retro" flair to a modern look without assuming the age of the original fashion. In fact, fun and playful accessories can dress-up dowdier designs, by giving you the image of a youthful attitude. Imagine wearing your "power suit" with a string of chunky beads, or outrageous earrings. Just remember not to overdo it there's a fine line between youthful spirit and desperately clinging to youth.
Another important thing to remember in dressing to look younger is fit. Whenever someone sees you in clothing that seems too small the first thought is that you are trying to wear something that no longer fits. The assumption is that you would never purposefully buy something ill-fitted. It must have fit when you bought it (meaning that you've had it long enough to grow out of it).
Even if they assume that you purchased the item for future wear intending to lose weight to fit into the garment you generate the idea that you've been struggling long enough to have 'given up' and wear the item anyway. The situation is equally problematic when ill-fitting refers to baggy clothing, which implies loss of weight, and sagging body shape. Whatever is assumed, weight and body maintenance are considered to be issues for aging women, and ill-fitted clothing leaves poor impressions and only serves to give the appearance of age.
There's one final aspect of how you dress that can add or remove as much as a decade from your appearance. Yet, most women never give it more than a passing thought. I'm referring to undergarments, specifically support, or foundation, garments. At least half of women today aren't wearing the right bra, and less than half are even aware that they could look years younger with the right body shaper. Most people know from grade school science and health classes that women have a layer of fat cells surrounding their bodies. This is natural and is largely responsible for giving them the softness and curves that men find so appealing. And a woman's breasts are made up of fat tissue surrounding the mammary glands.
How to Go Braless

A majority of the ladies who wear bras do believe that they are a necessity for variety of reasons, primary being to keep the breasts in proper shape. However there is a good no. of those on the other side who believe that bras are just an invention, unnecessary and not required. The debate tends to get political. However, whichever side of the debate you are, there is nothing wrong in going braless at least once in a while when the situation might demand or when you are too lazy to put on a bra! This however needs to be done very carefully specially for those of you who are well endowed. Its alright that you want to be free of bra, but it doesn’t have to be tasteless. Following are some tips that you will find handy whenever you decide to go braless:

What’s your size?

• If you are top heavy i.e. something like DD, then think twice before leaving your

bra back home. That’s because there’s every chance that your breasts might

just spill out of your dress. Practice and choice of a proper dress could prevent

this.

• Also movement of larger breasts when not checked by a bra could be painful,

especially in those times when they can be a bit swollen. Try to adopt a good

posture and some practice can help you avoid this to large extent.

‘Nipplegate’?

• Another major fear in girls about going braless is their nipples showing through

the dress, ‘high beam’ as they call this phenomenon in popular culture; this can

be embarrassing, however there are ways to avoid this:

• Nipple tapes and band aids: Specially designed nipple tapes in varying shapes

and sizes can be used to suppress the nipples so that they don’t show up.

• In case you need a quick fix solution, use of band aids on your nipples is perhaps

the most popular solution.

Consider the situation

• Its alright to go braless when you are out with your girlfriends, or a dressy

evening occasion when your dress demands no bra, however in a professional

situation you should ideally wear a bra.

• You don’t want to attract attention of your colleagues for all the wrong reasons.
Besides, it could look quite unprofessional.

Keep a jacket

• Whenever you do decide to go braless always keep handy a jacket or something

to drape over, just in case if it starts raining or you get wet for any reason, your

privacy shall be maintained.

• There could be other situations where a jacket would be handy, e.g. you are in

the frozen foods section of the supermarket and your nipples are forced rise from

their slumber. Can be quite embarrassing when the cashier wouldn’t lift his eyes

while talking to you!
Hopefully these little tips would help you in going out braless more confidently and comfort bulty

Finding the Right Fit for Your Bra

No matter how much you spent on that fabulous shirt, if your bra underneath doesn't fit properly (and with 70% of women wearing the wrong size, chances are, it doesn't), you'll look more dumpy than diva. A bad bra can ruin even the best of outfits, but most women are walking around in the wrong size bra. Most often, the problem is that women will get fitted once early in life and buy that same size for years, even after the effects of weight loss, pregnancy, or even (gulp!) gravity. Thankfully, finding your proper size is more science than art, and while the best advice is to be fitted by a professional, with a cloth measuring tape, you can find your right size.
Measure the circumference of your chest. Place the start of your measuring tape between and directly underneath your breasts. Keeping the bottom of the tape parallel to the floor, completely circle your chest. You'll know the tape is in the correct place if it lays flat against your skin, not curving up the underside of the breast. When you get this measurement, add five inches (So if you measure 29, you'll be a 34). This is your band size. If this number is an odd size, like 35, you'll have to try on both 34's and 36's to find the right fit.
Measure the circumference of your bust. Place the start of the tape on the side of one breast, even with your nipple. Again, circle around your chest. More likely than not, the tape will not touch between breasts. If you are heavy-chested, you will need to place your breasts where you'd like them to be. If you aren't comfortable with a significant other or best girlfriend to help in this department, a cupless bra can work in a pinch. When you get this measurement, subtract the first measurement from it. The difference between them determines your cup size. One inch is an A cup, 2 inches is a B cup, etc.
Try on lots of bras. Just like shoes, even though the bras may say they are the same size, different brands can fit very differently. Give yourself a good chunk of time and wear a form-fitting t-shirt for this fitting session. If you measured a 34B, you'll need to try on a 34B, 34A, 34C, 36A, and a 32C, but be prepared to try on even more if the brand runs perpetually small or big. You have to do this with every brand you try on. To put the bra on correctly, the band should be on the last set of hooks. This will increase the life of your bra. As it gets older and loses its elasticity, you can move up to the next hook. When you've reached the final inner hook, it's time for a new bra. After you've hooked the bra and placed it on your shoulders, bend at the waist, scooping and placing your breasts correctly in the cups. Many women don't do this last step and end up squashing their breasts instead of supporting them.
Put it through its paces. After you put the bra on, look at yourself in the mirror. Raise your arms, shrug your shoulders, hug yourself, stretch, bend over. Did the bra move, bunch, pinch? Did your breasts spill over the top or come out the bottom? If so, try a different size. Once you think you've found the right size, put your t-shirt on over it. Looking in the mirror, do you notice any bumps? Does it seem as if the cups stand away from the breasts? Stand in profile and consider the same questions. If the bra passes the t-shirt test, you have found the right size bra for that brand.
Once you have found the right bra, it's important to take care of it to prolong its shelf life. For the best care, hand wash it in cold water with Woolite or any other gentle cleansing detergent. If, like the rest of us, you're more likely to machine wash it, wash on the gentle cycle in Woolite. Never throw your bra into a dryer. The heat can ruin underwires and the Lycra and elastic that all bras have. Regardless of how well you take care of your bra, you should replace it once a year. To help minimize the cost, have a six month rotating schedule, replacing half of your bras every six month.

Bridal and Wedding Hairstyles for Long or Short Hair

Classic Wedding Hairstyles

For years brides have been wondering how to wear their hair on their special day. Some women dream of a traditional wedding look, complete with an elegant French Twist. Some of the most classic hairstyles include a high or low bun, ringlet curls, a curly updo twist and a bouffant. Classic wedding hairstyles often look very formal on any bride or bridesmaid in the bridal party. Most often, a classic wedding hairstyle will be completed and topped off with a beautiful traditional wedding veil.
Long Hair: Wedding Hairstyles

When you have long hair, choosing a wedding hairstyle can be a challenge. After all, you can wear it up or down, with ease. If you’re trying to create a romantic and fairy-tale inspired wedding theme, you may want to choose to let your hair flow in curls. However, if you prefer to be able to stay cool during your reception party, you can always choose to have it swept off of your neck into a braid with flowers. The best way to think about your long hair choices is to think about your dress. If you have a dress with great back detailing, you’ll likely want to wear your hair in an updo. However, if the back of your dress is not your focus area wearing your hair down is perfectly appropriate.
Short Hair: Wedding Hairstyles

Just because you’re hair is short doesn’t mean you don’t have options on your wedding day. Many brides with short hair are choosing to forgo veils and in exchange wearing beautiful tiaras on their wedding day. For a modern twist, messy curls can make a tiara look less formal and more chic. If a tiara isn’t your “thing” you can instead choose to use a sparkling hair clip, decorative bobby pins or even tuck a flower behind your ear for extra flair.
Modern Wedding Hairstyles

Creating a modern look on your wedding day is all about the simple and easy wedding hairstyles and accessories. Today’s modern bride often chooses to wear her hair down and straightened. The modern wedding hairstyles are less focused on curls and ribbons and more focused on looking polished, sophisticated and elegant. Instead of going for the same French Twist a bride wore to her high school prom, a modern gal will choose to keep her hair simple and fuss-free. Often modern brides will choose to go without a veil and will tuck one single flower bud behind her ear to complete her wedding look.

Basic Updo Tips

1.Always be sure to use a multitude of bobby pins when you want your updo to stay. It’s best to let a professional do your updo for your wedding. However, if you are wearing your hair down you may want to save money and construct the style yourself.

2.If your hair doesn’t hold well, think about using spray freeze instead of everyday hairspray on your wedding hairstyle. Many spray freeze brands come with an added “shine” in them, which will make your hair sparkle on your wedding day.

3.Think about your dress when choosing your hairstyle. You want your hair to work well with the design of your dress.

4.Consider your wedding day accessories. If you have earrings you want to show off, an updo or a style which pulls your hair away from your face is likely the best option.

Wedding Makeup Ideas

Every woman wants to look and feel beautiful on her wedding day. From wedding makeup to the wedding gown, each process is often planned far in advance. However, when the big day comes, many last minute things can occur and brides should be prepared for wedding makeup meltdowns with these helpful preparation tips.
About three weeks before your wedding date, it’s important to focus a great deal on your skin. Chances are you’ll be getting nervous and your skin is going to get fussy. Be sure you’re getting enough rest, drinking enough water and cleansing regularly. It’s also a great time to see a professional makeup artist. While most brides can’t afford to hire a professional makeup artist to apply the makeup and touch up before the wedding photographer takes pictures, you can often get a free bridal consultation at Sephora or other makeup counters in your local mall. These consultations can help you better understand what types of foundation will last through your wedding day sweat and While your wedding day is a time you can choose to glamour-up your look, it’s not a great day to take on a huge risk. The basics are really all you did for your big day. Look for a foundation which will give you a dewy glow, without leading to shine. Choose waterproof mascara for your lashes, in case you get a bit emotional throughout the ceremony. Choose a colored gloss for your lips and forgo heavy lip liners and lipsticks. Make your eyes the focus of your face, by applying a rich hue of brown, gray or lavender to your lids. Smudge darker colored eyeliner onto the top of your upper lash line for a smoky look. Remember, you want to look like yourself, just with a more beauty forward wedding style added into the mix.
If you’re getting married in the snowy winter, you’ll not likely need to worry so much. But, if your wedding is taking place at a beach where you’ll be showing off your body in a summer wedding gown, you may want to think about covering up any tattoos showing. Many brides choose to purchase specialized makeup to cover up their body tattoos for their wedding day. Just be sure to test the makeup beforehand to ensure it not only covers but also won’t come off on your dress. Of course, other brides choose to be themselves on their wedding day, tattoos and all!
Keep in mind, your wedding makeup should be something you experiment with in the month before your wedding. Don’t wait until your wedding day to try something new, or you could be in for a bad surprise. Not only could your makeup look bad but it could also cause an allergic reaction if not tried before. Keep wedding day makeup simple and elegant. Do what you normally do when going out, but jazz it up a bit with a rosier color on the cheeks and lips. Don’t overdo it or you’ll end up with makeup that outshines you!

The Perfect Wedding Guest Outfit

When you’re a wedding guest, thinking about the outfit you’ll wear to the wedding ceremony can be a challenge. While most people know wearing a white dress to a wedding is taboo (the bride is the only one who should traditionally wear white), the choices of appropriate and inappropriate wedding clothing can still seem overwhelming. To help you easily get though the rules and etiquette of wedding clothes, use these tips and helpful ideas when choosing what to wear to a wedding.

One of the main things to consider when trying to find something at Macys or Nordstrom for an upcoming wedding you’re attending is the season of the wedding. Whether the wedding is in summer or winter can make a huge difference on what you should wear. Typically, a summer wedding can call for a more casual look in wedding attire overall. Even if the summer wedding isn’t held on a beach, guests often wear beautiful summer dresses and men can even get away with forgoing a suit coat in many cases.

Fabrics are often lighter and free in flow and floral prints are extremely popular choices for wedding guests. Summer weddings also allow for brighter colors in dresses and short styles in length. However, keep in mind you should always dress appropriately and not show too much skin. In addition, flip flops are a “no-no” so choose dress shoes or even beautiful sandals.
The time of day a wedding is held is a great indication of what you should wear to the event. Evening weddings are traditionally more formal than afternoon or daytime weddings. If you’re unsure what to wear, you can always pair your little black dress with various accessories until you feel comfortable. Many women stick casual accessories and elegant accessories in their handbag to take along. Then, they slip into the bathroom after viewing the other guests to choose which ones to adorn.
Many brides make it easy for guests and state on the wedding invite what type of dress is most appropriate. Some brides require black tie dress, which essentially is code for the fact men should wear a tuxedo and women should choose cocktail style dresses. If you’re still not certain what is most appropriate for the wedding, think about asking the mother of the bride. She may be able to help give you advice on what the bride expects of her guests

Aveid Your Bad Breath

I once took a class in Argentine Tango, which was set up so that men and women constantly exchanged partners while learning the stylized steps. That was okay, but there was one guy who had zero rhythm, and three minutes of trying to tango with him (counting to himself and still failing his steps miserably) was like a stumbling, cursing lifetime. But dancing with that poor klutz (I'm no Pavlova, by the way) was nothing compared to the man whose breath was so bad, I had to fight to hold my own breath or simply go mad.
In the few steps where we turned away from each other, I had to gasp for a fresh breath of air, then turn for the next hellish step into the miasma. I felt bad for the man at first: clearly, taking a tango class wasn't going to make him popular with women as long as he could not get rid of his bad breath. But soon, I started to hate him: how could he not know the effect his breath had on others? Why wouldn't he chew a mint, for crying out loud? It was so bad that I actually considered telling him, a total stranger, that he should chew gum so I could bear to dance with him. I didn't have to go that far, though, because in the end, I met a lovely, sexy, middle-aged psychologist who was not only a fine and graceful dancer, but who smelled nice and liked to dance with me. He managed to show up in front of me more and more often in the partner exchanges, and soon, I hardly danced with anyone else.
